Militiaman kidnapped and assassinated in Chechnya

In the evening on March 24, in the Vedeno District of Chechnya, a group of armed persons kidnapped a militiaman. Today in the morning, his body was found.

In Neftyanka village, several persons in masks and military uniform, armed with automatic firearms, rushed into the house of a local resident, an employee of the ROVD (District Interior Department).

"Under a threat of physical violence, they forced the militiaman away with them. Members of his family were at home at the moment, but the attackers did not touch them," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed at the Chechnya's MIA.

Today in the morning, the body of the kidnapped militiaman was found in a large forest, about six hundred meters off his house. The militiaman was shot dead in his head, as the MIA reported.

In the opinion of the source, most probably, the kidnapping and execution were committed by militants, who, in the opinion of the source, "have finally switched over to the tactics of terror."
