Ingush President dissatisfied with living conditions of refugees from North Ossetia and Chechnya

Yesterday, on November 28, President of Ingushetia Yunus-Bek Evkurov visited the refugees from North Ossetia and Chechnya who live in the Republic. The leader was not happy with the conditions, in which they live.

Yunus-Bek Evkurov visited a temporary refugees' centre, located in the city of Nazran and housing about 200 persons, mainly, Ingushes from North Ossetia. The President has stated his dissatisfaction with the living conditions of the refugees. He said, "We'll solve, under provisions of the law, the issues of your return home, but today the authorities shall make everything possible to set up decent conditions here."

The RBC Agency reports that Mr Evkurov instructed the government officials and representatives of the Republic's Migration Service in his retinue to have the barracks of the centre repaired prior to the start of the cold season and solve the refugees' everyday problems.

Currently, the territory of the Republics shelters about 18,000 refugees-Ingushes from North Ossetia. About two thousand of them live in 36 compact accommodation centres, while the rest of them rent some housing facilities in private houses, the Regions.Ru Agency was told at the press service of the Republic's Government.
