In Armenia, office of opposition party "Homeland and Honour" was searched
Tonight, at about 7:30-8:30 p.m. local time, employees of the Special Investigatory Group of the State Office of the Public Prosecutor of Armenia made a sanctioned search in the office of the opposition party "Homeland and Honour".
Natalia Djanoyan, party secretary, has informed the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the prosecutor's searchers confiscated all the partisan documents and took away two computers. When asked about the aim of the search in the office, Ms Djanoyan answered that they had looked for weapons and explosives, however, nothing was found. She also said that she was summoned to the Prosecutor's Office as a witness.
Let us note here that Garnik Markaryan, chairman of the party "Homeland and Honour", is hiding. The party "Homeland and Honour" is one of the 23 parties-members of the All-National Movement.
Representatives of the Council of Field Commanders of Armenia have declared that politically-motivated prosecutions and countrywide violations of human rights continue in Armenia. According to Mikael Apresyan, Council's coordinator, activists of the opposition are still brought to police stations, baselessly charged and detained, and therefore, the spirit of intolerance and mistrust becomes stronger in the society.
