Picket against kidnappings held in Dagestan

Today, the public organization "Dagestan Mothers for Human Rights" and relatives of the people kidnapped in Makhachkala held a picket against kidnappings in the central square of the capital of the Republic.

The action lasted for two hours, but no representative of the authorities ever came out to the protesters, the "Gazeta.Ru" reports.

According to Gyulnara Rustamova, leader of "Dagestan Mothers", on January 30, unknown armed persons kidnapped businessman Dzhabir Kamaludinov, 22. On January 31, his partner Shamil Omarov, 25, disappeared. Both kidnapped persons worked in a cellular phone store in Makhachkala.

Their relatives and human rights activists are convinced that the young men were kidnapped by representatives of power agencies.
