Law enforcers detain Suleimanova's friend at her picket

The police have detained Elena Patyaeva during her solo picket held in Saint Petersburg, where she demanded an inquiry into the disappearance of Seda Suleimanova. The reason for the detention was an alleged violation of anti-Covid restrictions.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that at her picket, Elena Patyaeva claimed that over 10 months, the inquiry into the disappearance of her friend, Seda Suleimanova, had yielded no results.

In April 2024, it became known that the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) was investigating Suleimanova's disappearance under the murder article. On April 26, an investigator in Chechnya interrogated Elena Patyaeva. However, in June, Patyaeva stated that within three months after the case was opened, investigators had not come to any conclusions. On January 13, it became known that Patyaeva had complained to the Russian General Prosecutor's Office (GPO) about the inaction of the Chechen investigative bodies.

After almost three hours of picketing on the Kadyrov Bridge in Saint Petersburg, policemen came up to Patyaeva. First, they talked to her and clarified the reason for the picket. Some time later, she was detained for violating some anti-Covid restrictions.
