Activist Kasimova detained again in Cherkessk
In Cherkessk, the police detained Guzel Kasimova, an activist from Kazan, who was released from a special detention facility after ten days of arrest. The woman was accused of knowingly making a false report of a terror act.
The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on November 21, the police detained Guzel Kasimova on suspicion of posting announcements about an impending terror act. Guzel Kasimova was placed under arrest for ten days, being accused of failure to obey law enforcers.
Stalina Erlenbach, a 69-year-old woman, was also sent to a SIZO (pre-trial prison). She arrived to Cherkessk in order to find her friend Guzel Kasimova, since she had not been in touch. On November 22, Stalina Erlenbach came to the police to file a complaint about her friend’s disappearance. Policemen accepted her complaint and took her to an investigator, who convinced the pensioner to sign a protocol with self-incrimination.
“Investigative actions were carried out at night, Guzel Kasimova became ill, and an ambulance was called for her. The defence asked to postpone the investigative actions until the morning, but the investigator refused,” a Guzel Kasimova’s defender reported.
