Former senator Arashukov refuses to reveal reasons for apologizing to Kadyrov

Rauf Arashukov, a former senator from Karachay-Cherkessia, did not want to explain what he apologized to Ramzan Kadyrov for and called the reasons for the apology “personal.”

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on October 16, an Internet page of Rauf Arashukov, a former senator from Karachay-Cherkessia, who was sentenced to life imprisonment, has posted an apology to Ramzan Kadyrov and a request for help addressed to him. The appeal was caused by the desire to receive support and achieve a mitigation of the sentence, analysts noted. The Supreme Court (SC) of Russia will consider the cassation appeal filed by Arashukov son and father on October 23.

The apology to Ramzan Kadyrov is “our personal matter,” Rauf Arashukov stated.

“I don’t see anything wrong when a person makes a mistake, admits his mistake, and apologizes, especially to someone he considers a close person!” stated Rauf Arashukov as quoted by the RBC.

Earlier, a Circassian activist has noted that the friendship with Ramzan Kadyrov was important for Rauf Arashukov.

  • Compensation decrease for illegal prosecution violates rights of KBR resident

The court ruling, which awarded Madin Gubzhokov compensation of 30,000 roubles for unlawful criminal prosecution, is incomparable with the moral harm caused by the actions of Azamat Kyaov, a former law enforcer.
