Teacher detained in Chechnya for his posts about Christians

Teacher Mansur Zhabrailov has been dismissed from school and detained by the police for his offensive statements about Christians posted on social media.

In his Telegram channel, Akhmed Dudaev, Chechen Minister for National Policy, External Relations, Press, and Information, has reported that the teacher was dismissed from school after “provocative” posts on social media about religion.

In addition, on September 23, the Centre for Combating Extremism (CCE) began investigative actions against Mansur Zhabrailov. “His provocative, illegal, and offensive publications have been sent to Stavropol for religious studies examination. There is no doubt that this person will be most severely punished in accordance with the Russian laws,” Akhmed Dudaev stated.

Mansur Zhabrailov is a physical education and chemistry teacher. He used derogatory language in his entries about Christians and the Christian religion posted on social media, the “RIA Novosti” news agency reports.
