Woman from Adygea punished for insulting law enforcer

In Adygea, a court has fined a resident of the Takhtamukaisky District, finding the woman guilty of publicly insulting a public official.

Investigators instituted a criminal case under the article on publicly insulting a public official against a woman who publicly expressed her disagreement with the policemen’s actions.

According to the investigators’ version, in May 2024, the woman publicly insulted the policemen on the street, who were acting within their authority. The local resident used obscene language against a law enforcer in the presence of other people, the Investigating Department for Adygea of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) claims.
