Case against advocate Kodzaeva can be initiated in North Ossetia

On October 17, the Leninskiy Court of North Ossetia made a conclusion about the presence of attributes of a crime in the actions of advocate Irina Kodzaeva, who had earlier accused the inspector of the General Prosecutor's Office of beating her. The criminal case has not been initiated yet.

R. K. Lyapin, head of the 1st Division of the Chief Investigatory Department of the Investigatory Committee under the Prosecutor's Office for the South Federal District (SFD), has concluded the sufficiency of gathered materials for charging advocate I. Kodzaeva under Article 318, part 1, of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

"It's not yet an opening of a criminal case but a conclusion only. It's a special procedure stipulated for initiation of criminal cases against a special category of persons: lawyers, inspectors," Irina Kodzaeva has told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

Victor Pereverznev, inspector of the State Office of Public Prosecutor, who accuses advocate Kodzaeva of beating him, failed to appear at court on October 17, and his interests were represented by S. Kroider from the Chief Investigatory Department of the Investigatory Committee under the Prosecutor's Office for the SFD.

According to Irina Kodzaeva, she will appeal against the above conclusion at the Supreme Court of the Republic. According to the law, it can be done within ten days after the date of the decision.
