Person accused of terror acts in North Ossetia found to be sane

The experts' opinion that was announced on September 11 during judicial hearings on the case of Alikhan Ozdoev, accused of committing a terror act in North Ossetia, did not reveal any mental violations in the defendant.

Judge A. Aboev has treated Ozdoev's assertions about his loss of orientation and the voices that he heard to be clinically improbable; therefore these statements can be regarded as the protective-setting form of behaviour.

We remind you that the Supreme Court of North Ossetia continues hearings on the case of a stable armed criminal grouping, created under the order of Shamil Basaev and Abu-Dzeit and commanded by Amir of the militants Issa Kushtov.

According to the indictment, Rustam Tsurov, Alikhan Ozdoev and Umar Khadziev are accused of banditism, six acts of terrorism, preparation of two acts of terror, wilful murder at aggravating circumstances during committing terror acts in the period from December 25, 2005, to June 21, 2006. A number of other crimes are incriminated to them.
