Kuban resident fined for evading military service

The court has sentenced Vladimir Barzykin, a resident of the town of Korenovsk, the Krasnodar Territory (also known as Kuban by the name of the main river) to a fine, finding him guilty of evading military service.

As reported in its Telegram channel by the joint press service of Kuban courts, in 2022, Barzykin reported to the draft commission "deliberately false information about his health problems."

"The draft commission sent him to a medical examination, where, realizing that he had no grounds for deferment or exemption from conscription for military service, failed to undergo. Then, he failed to appear at the military commissariat at the appointed time for no good reason," the report says.

Later, Barzykin again received a summons and, after undergoing an examination, was declared fit for service. "However, he again failed to appear at the commissariat, having evaded military service. In court, he repented of his actions," the report notes.

The court has fined him by 40,000 roubles.
