Adam Kadyrov receives seventh award after beating Zhuravel

The Mufti of Chechnya awarded 15-year-old Adam Kadyrov the Order “For Service to the Religion of Islam” for his personal contribution to the defence of Islamic values. The award became the seventh for the Chechen leader’s son after he had beaten arrested Nikita Zhuravel.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on September 25, Ramzan Kadyrov posted a video with his 15-year-old son Adam beating in a SIZO (pre-trial prison) Nikita Zhuravel, a resident of Volgograd, accused in a case on burning the Koran. After that, Adam Kadyrov received a number of awards. So, on October 6, it became known that he had been awarded the title of Hero of Chechnya.

Caucasus experts argued about the motives for awarding Adam Kadyrov. Handing over the highest awards of Karachay-Cherkessia and Kabardino-Balkaria to the son of the leader of Chechnya was dictated by the desire of the republics’ leader to show respect to the teenager’s father, suggested Akhmet Yarlykapov. The awards for Kadyrov Jr. were initiated by Moscow as a signal of support for Ramzan Kadyrov’s possible successor, argued Ruslan Kutaev.

Adam Kadyrov received the Order “For Service to the Religion of Islam”, 1st degree, and the award was handed over to him by Mufti of Chechnya Salakh Mezhiev, reports the “Chechnya Segodnya” (Chechnya Today) news agency.

The order was awarded “for significant personal contribution to the strengthening of Islam and the protection of its values.” “Adam Kadyrov has proven that he is a worthy grandson of Akhmat-Khadji Kadyrov and worthily continues the path of his father,” stated Salakh Mezhiev as quoted by the “Chechnya Segodnya” news agency.

Let us remind you that Adam Kadyrov was appointed head of the security department of the leader of Chechnya. This is a test for the teenager of his ability to lead Chechnya after his father, experts suggest.
