Ambassador of Israel offered assistance with evacuation of Jews from Dagestan

The Israeli embassy in Russia is ready to help Dagestani Jews move to Israel, a representative of the diplomatic mission said.

“If someone turns to us for help, we will be able to help. But we are talking, of course, about those who want to leave for Israel,” RBC quotes the ambassador.

According to the ambassador, after the incident in Makhachkala, only one family approached the embassy about evacuation, but they also changed their mind about evacuating later.

Among the passengers on the flight, more than 30 people had Israeli citizenship, Ben Zvi added. "Some of them live in Dagestan, now they are at home. When everything calmed down, they simply went home. Some of them flew away. They called helicopters, they flew first to Mineralnye Vody, then to Moscow. And where then, we no longer know. They moved across places where they planned to go from the very beginning,” the publication quoted the ambassador as saying.
