"Dagestan Mothers" continue hunger strike, their condition is worse
In Makhachkala, the hunger strike of the women-members of the "Dagestan Mothers for Human Rights" Public Organization continues. The health condition of some of them is close to critical.
On August 21, the Dagestan women, who had gone on hunger strike on August 10 in protest against kidnappings and pending reception by President of Dagestan Mukhu Aliev, were visited by Magomedrasul Ziyautdinov, deputy chief physician of the Republic's Association "Emergency Call Service," who examined the hunger-strikers.
One of them - Svetlana Isaeva, an activist of the "Dagestan Mothers" Movement - felt bad because of her blood pressure drops.
According to the information received by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent from Svetlana Isaeva, initially six women took part in the hunger strike, three days later one of them - Shakhrizad Dibirova - had a blood-stroke and was taken away to hospital.
Two more days later, Aisarat Umarova stopped her hunger strike - she had to go back home to her daughter of 3, who suffered heavily from absence of her mother. The others - Svetlana Isaeva, Gyulnara Rustamova, Aminat Batyrova and Fatima Saidova - continue their hunger strike in the room that was provided to them by Isalmagomed Nabiev, head of the Independent Trade Union of Entrepreneurs and Drivers of Dagestan.
