Video about Chechen women's readiness to defend homeland sparks commentators' bewilderment

Akhmed Dudaev, the Chechen Minister of Information, has posted a video in social networks with female employees of law enforcement bodies. The video states that Chechen women are ready to support men in defending the interests of their homeland. Some commentators have perceived the video clip with bewilderment, noting that participation in hostilities is not a woman's business.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 17, the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, instructed the heads of Chechen ROVDs (District Interior Divisions) to form reserves from those wishing to work in law enforcement bodies and organize their combat training. He urged to attract not only men, but also women to the reserve.

In his Telegram channel, Minister Dudaev has posted a video clip with female employees of law enforcement bodies. "The Chechen area is famous not only for wolves, but also for its she-wolves capable to stand next to their brothers in defence of the borders of the big and small Motherland. We are infinitely proud of our sisters that they are able to kindle not only the hearth, but also the hearts of those who are not indifferent!" proclaims the caption to the video.

Some users have doubted that the presence of women in law enforcement bodies and the army is necessary. "And who will give birth to children, and who will keep the hearth?" the user Khamzat R has asked.

"I believe that this is not a woman's business," the Instagram* user love_vitalevna has stated.
