Absence of volunteer queues to Chechen commissariats upsets Kadyrov

Residents of Chechnya should "stand in lines" and sign up en masse as volunteers to participate in the special operation in Ukraine, Ramzan Kadyrov, the head of the republic, has stated. He explained the demand for mass mobilization by the need to resist the spread of Western values and the practice of same-sex marriages.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Kadyrov is regularly announcing sending volunteers to the special operation zone in Ukraine. On October 23, he announced that another group of volunteers had left Chechnya for Ukraine.

On August 31, Magomed Daudov, the Chairman (Speaker) of the Chechen Parliament, stated that more than 5000 volunteers from among residents of Chechnya had been sent to Ukraine since the start of the military operation.

In his Telegram channel, Kadyrov has posted an audio message calling on residents of Chechnya to take part in the special operation in Ukraine.

"I call on all the males and women – it doesn't matter, especially Caucasians: why are there no queues? This is our future. We all wanted to fight against this Satanism; we were not allowed to pray and raise our families," Kadyrov has stated.

He has announced that the special operation in Ukraine should be perceived not as Russia's fight against anyone, but as a struggle of Muslims and Christians against Satanism. "Today, Muslims and Christians must unite and destroy this Satanism ... Do you want your sons to marry girls, or do you want your daughters to marry women? So that they couldn't call you a dad or a mom?" the head of Chechnya has asked.

The "Caucasian Knot" has also reported that in January-August this year, the "Chechenstat" (the Chechen branch of the Russian Federal Statistics Committee) fixed a sharp increase in the number of those who leave Chechnya abroad. The number of those who have left the republic is many times higher, since the official figures are understated, Caucasian experts have suggested.

Let us remind you that on May 13, the "Vayfond" Chechen human rights association, based in Sweden, reported that dozens of Chechen residents had sent them messages asking for help in leaving Russia in order to avoid being sent to Ukraine.
