Kadyrov awarded Order of Alexander Nevsky due to his loyalty to Kremlin

The socio-economic development of Chechnya, which receives multibillion-rouble subsidies, does not look like a serios reason for awarding Ramzan Kadyrov with an order, political analyst Dmitry Oreshkin points out. With that award, the Kremlin encouraged Ramzan Kadyrov for supporting the special military operation in Ukraine, suggests Ruslan Kutaev, a Caucasian expert.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on July 27, Ramzan Kadyrov reported that, on the proposal of Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin, he himself was awarded the Order of Alexander Nevsky by the presidential decree “for great contribution to the socio-economic development of the Chechen Republic and the effective solution of tasks of great national importance.”

The basis for awarding the order to Ramzan Kadyrov does not look as a serious one, political analyst Dmitry Oreshkin believes. “Ramzan Kadyrov himself said that he was grateful to the federal centre for giving him 300 billion roubles annually for Chechnya. With such subsidies, it is not difficult to achieve some results, for example, by building skyscrapers,” Dmitry Oreshkin told the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent.

Judging by the reports prepared by the authorities of Chechnya, everything is fine in the economy of the republic, Ruslan Kutaev, the president of the Assembly of Caucasian Nations, notes. “Therefore, the leader [of Chechnya] can be awarded not only with an order, but with anything. Meanwhile, the Order of Alexander Nevsky has its own specific basis. Awarding [adviser to the leader of Chechnya Adam] Delimkhanov the Hero of Russia, conferring the title of Lieutenant General to Ramzan Kadyrov, and awarding him an order is nothing more than an encouragement by the Kremlin for participating in the special military operation. These are bonuses. And they can be given under any pretext, any justification,” Ruslan Kutaev told the “Caucasian Knot” correspondent.
