Report on liquidation of the mining farm in Dagestan sparks irony in social network
The Dagestani branch of the Russian FSB (Federal Security Bureau) has reported about the liquidation of a mining farm in the village of Novoye Gadari; the caused damage amounted to a million roubles. Commentators to this news have treated law enforcers' uniforms as redundant and called on law enforcement bodies to pay attention to larger-scale thefts in the republic.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Dagestan energy companies and police regularly report on the liquidation of illegal mining farms.
Osmanov, a resident of the village of Mutsalaul, Khasavyurt District, is suspected of stealing electricity worth one million roubles for the operation of a mining farm. According to investigators, in December 2021, Osmanov installed 84 devices for mining cryptocurrency in the village of Novoye Gadari, Kizilyurt District, the "Chernovik" (Draft) outlet reported on July 2 in its Telegram channel, citing the press service of the Dagestani FSB branch.
The outlet has also posted a video showing several law enforcers in full riot gear entering the room where the equipment is located.
Most users left their ironic comments under the video.
"Why haven't they involved combat helicopters and tanks? They made detentions by such weak forces," the user nikataev_knife has noted ironically. "A grandiose special operation; it would be better if you caught in this manner those officials who steal people's money every day and every year," the user ne.tovarish has noted.
