Keilin's advocate addresses Ombudsman of Stavropol Territory

Roman Belan, advocate of Andrei Keilin, a native of Cherkessk, 20, detained on suspicion of murdering two Stavropol students, has addressed the Ombudsman for the Stavropol Territory Alexei Selyukov with a complaint against illegal, in the opinion of the defence, arrest and detention of his client, the lawyer himself has telephoned today to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

"Alexei Selyukov, Ombudsman for the Stavropol Territory, has attentively listened to the essence of the problem, promised to analyse the situation and to elaborate his position," R. Belan said.

According to his story, as of today, the custody conditions of A. Keilin have noticeably improved after the information about him appeared in mass media. The lawyer has also informed that today, after numerous appeals to the prosecutor's office of detainee's mother - Svetlana Keilina, she was allowed to see her son.

According to R. Belan, so far he has received no answers to his petitions to the State Office of Public Prosecutor and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.
