Volunteers from South Ossetia and Abkhazia perish in Donbass
Robert Kulumbegov, an Honoured Artist of South Ossetia and Abkhazia, and Akhra Kirkinadze, a resident of the Ochamchira District of Abkhazia, perished in battles in Donbass. They were volunteers of the "Pyatnashka" battalion under the command of Akhra Avidzba.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Sergeant Andrei Bakaev from Tskhinvali was killed during the military operation in Ukraine, the South-Ossetian Ministry of Defence (MoD) has informed.
On April 6, Akhra Kirkinadze, an Abkhazian volunteer, who perished in battles near Donetsk, will be buried in the village of Kutol, Ochamchira District, the press service of the President of Abkhazia has informed. Akhre Kirkrnadze, 36, perished and left his widow and five children behind.
The death of Robert Kulumbegov, an Honoured Artist of South Ossetia and Abkhazia, was reported by Oleg Marzoev, a military expert on his Telegram channel. He has noted that Kulumbegov deserves to be awarded.
Akhra Kirkinadze is the first native of Abkhazia whose death in Ukraine was confirmed by authorities. Robert Kulumbegov is the first volunteer from South Ossetia whose death became known.
