Seven participants of military operation in Ukraine buried in North Ossetia
Akhsartag Sabanov, Kazbek Dzukaev, and Dmitry Fedenko killed in Ukraine are buried in North Ossetia. A farewell ceremony for Igor Leonov, Arthur Kachmazov, Oleg Kovalchuk, and Mikhail Skokov has been held today. They were awarded the Order of Courage posthumously.
The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that Alexander Zhelezov from Vladikavkaz and Chermen Misikov from Beslan, killed during the special military operation in Ukraine, were awarded the Order of Courage posthumously.
On March 7, a memorial service for Akhsartag Sabanov was held in Vladikavkaz. He was killed in a battle for Kharkov on February 24. 44-year-old Kazbek Dzukaev was also taken on his last journey. The funeral of 26-year-old Oleg Kovalchuk, 40-year-old Mikhail Skokov, a father of three children, and 34-year-old Igor Leonov, is scheduled for March 8. National Guard Sergeant Dmitry Fedenko was buried on March 6, reports the “Alania” GTRK (State TV and Radio Broadcasting Company) in a video posted on its YouTube channel.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defence, 498 Russian soldiers were killed in the special military operation in Ukraine, and other 1597 were wounded. In addition, according to the UN information as of March 6, 406 civilians have been killed and 801 have been wounded since the start of the special military operation.
