Rights defender Osechkin voiced data of Chechen Diaspora about an order to kill him
Members of the Chechen Diaspora in France received an order from Moscow to kill Vladimir Osechkin, a human rights defender, the Gulagu.net project that he heads has reported. Osechkin himself has linked the preparation of his assassination attempt with his activities.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in November 2021, the Gulagu.net posted a video evidence of torture of residents of Chechnya, Dagestan, Georgia and Azerbaijan at the Saratov prison hospital, which caused a broad resonance.
"A source in the Chechen Diaspora in France told about an attempt by some forces in Moscow to find a performer among emigrants from Chechnya and announced the amount for fulfilling the murder order as EUR 100,000. Another source said that… performers had been found among immigrants from Northern Caucasus, and Osechkin will be "liquidated" in the near future, the Gulagu.net Telegram channel asserts.
The secretariat of the European Committee for the Prevention of Torture of the Council of Europe has confirmed the receipt of a video archive with "evidence of torture, torment and rape committed by special agents," the Gulagu.net has reported.
