PFPA states absence of data about three detainees at action in Baku
The fate of the three detainees at the action in support of Salekh Rustamov in Baku remains unknown, the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PFPA) has informed. Rustam Ismailbeili, an activist, who was detained after the action, will stand trial today, his sister said.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 1, the police disrupted an action in support of Salekh Rustamov, a PFPA activist, who was on a hunger strike demanding his release. The police detained 40 people. The PFPA stated that some of the detainees were beaten up by law enforcers.
There is no information yet about the PFPA members Ilham Gusein, Sayad Guliev and Elkhan Aliev, Natig Adilov, the head of the PFPA's press service, has informed.
Let us remind you that on November 6, Salekh Rustamov, a PFPA activist, went on a hunger strike, protesting against the fact that he has not been covered by the announced amnesty. A number of NGOs have called on the Azeri President to release him. On November 29, Rustamov, who had been on his hunger strike for 25 days, announced his intention to go on a dry hunger strike.
