Azerbaijan reports shelling its positions on Armenian border
In the evening on November 17, from their positions in the Tavush District, Armenian militaries shelled the Azerbaijani positions, after which Azerbaijani militaries opened response fire, the Azeri Ministry of Defence (MoD) has informed.
According to the Armenian MoD, Azerbaijani militaries shelled the Armenian positions located in the border area in the Tavush District, which forced the Armenian militaries to open the return fire.
Let us remind you that on November 16, armed clashes broke out on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. Armenian authorities blamed Azerbaijani troops for their attempt to move forward, while Baku has accused Armenian soldiers of trying to capture some heights in the border areas. Both parties reported losses suffered during the skirmishes. The fighting was stopped on November 16, after the talks of the heads of the Armenian and Azeri MoDs with their Russian colleague.
