"Reporters without Borders" see no progress in investigating Politkovskaya's murder

The international organization "Reporters without Borders" has expressed its discontent with the course of investigation into the murder of journalist Anna Politkovskaya. "We see no visible progress achieved during the latest six months," runs the statement of the organization now available at the disposal of Radio Station "Echo Moskvy."

"The assertions of the Office of Public Prosecutor give no guarantees that this terrible crime will ever be resolved," the document runs. "It is possible that we'll have to found an international investigatory commission, unless particular and convincing evidences of successful actions of the authorities appear." "We have to be persistent in restoring justice and putting an end to impunity in Russia," the statement emphasizes.
