On July 5-11, one person perished in armed conflict in Northern Caucasus

During the week from July 5 to July 11, 2021, at least one person perished during the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus. These are the results of the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from open sources.

On July 9, in Grozny, at the entrance to the Visaitovsky (formerly Staropromyslovsky) District, a man attacked policemen with a knife. The police used their service weapons, the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) has reported.

The attacker, a resident of Grozny born in 1993, was wounded and later died in hospital. The policemen did not suffer.

This attack on policemen was the second armed incident in Chechnya since the start of 2021.
