Armenia refutes information about shelling Azerbaijani militaries

The information of the Azerbaijani party about the shelling of the positions of its militaries stationed in the Gadabay District by Armenia has nothing to do with reality, the Armenian Ministry of Defence (MoD) has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the Azerbaijani MoD stated that in the evening on July 9, the positions of the Azerbaijani Army deployed in the border Gadabay District were shelled by Armenian militaries. According to the Azerbaijani MoD, there are no dead or wounded servicemen among its army personnel.

The Armenian MoD has stated that its militaries did not shell any positions of the Azerbaijani militaries in the Gadabay District. "The MoD of Azerbaijan has spread a statement that in the evening on July 9, units of the Armenian Armed Forces opened fire in the direction of Azerbaijani positions in the border area of the Gegarkunik District of Armenia. The statement has nothing to do with reality," the “News-Armenia” News Agency has quoted the MoD’s report. The Armenian party did not open fire, the MoD has emphasized.
