Political analysts see some trick in Pashinyan's resignation

Nikol Pashinyan has announced his resignation, formation of an interim government and early elections in order to reproduce his power, the political analysts interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot" believe.

Nikol Pashinyan's resignation is a legal collision related to legislation, which does not provide for any other way of holding early parliamentary elections, Alexander Iskandaryan, a political analyst, Director of the Caucasus Institute, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent on March 30.

According to his version, Pashinyan goes to early elections aiming to reproduce his power. "He [Pashinyan] is a legalist man; he's trying, at least formally, to follow the letter of the law. If in the classical systems of developed democracy elections are an event, the procedure of which is known, but the result is not, then in young democracies, especially in post-Soviet countries, the opposite happens very often. The procedure is adjusted to the desired result," the political analyst has noted.
