Vaan Badasyan arrested in Yerevan
Vaan Badasyan, the leader of the "United Armenia" Karabakh Party, was accused of calling to execute Nikol Pashinyan.
In November 2020, after the signing of a truce with Azerbaijan, protests began in Armenia demanding Pashinyan's resignation.
Badasyan is accused of public calls for a violent change of the constitutional order; he has been arrested for two months, Araik Papkyan, an advocate, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
On January 28, the Day of Armenian Army, Vaan Badasyan was in the "Yerablur" Military Pantheon in Yerevan, where he told reporters that "Nikol Pashinyan must be eliminated."
''Pashinyan must be eliminated not only because he is a symbol of defeat, but also an enemy. It is necessary to eliminate it, including by physical liquidation by means of weapons. And from today, I start preparing this," Vaan Badasyan has stated.
Let us remind you that Badasyan ran for the presidency of Nagorno-Karabakh at the election in March 2020. Last autumn, he took part in the Karabakh war and was wounded in the head.
