In Yerevan, protestors clash with police
In Yerevan, a mass clash took place on Republic Square between the police and the protestors who demanded the resignation of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. The protesters tried to set up a tent camp. They announced the beginning of an indefinite protest action in front of the government building.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today, in Yerevan, opposition supporters have taken part in a protest action on Republic Square with the demand of the Nikol Pashinyan's resignation. The protesters blocked several roads leading to Republic Square, the police demanded to vacate the roadway.
The clash between the oppositionists demanding the Nikol Pashinyan's resignation and the police has occurred in front of the building of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of Armenia, the "News.am" reports today.
The footage of the video, released by the "News.am", shows the protesters and the policemen involved in the clashes.
In the capital of Armenia, the protesters are trying to set up tents on Republic Square, and the oppositionists are going to spend the whole night in front of the government building, reports Ishkhan Sagatelyan, a member of the opposition "Dashnaktsutyun" Party.
The issue concerning the Nikol Pashinyan's resignation from the post of the prime minister should be decided by the Armenian parliament. The opposition intends to continue the protest action on Republic Square until the reaction of the "My Step" bloc follows, Ishkhan Sagatelyan has added.
