Peacemakers report on checkpoint strengthening in Lachin Corridor

The checkpoints in the Lachin Corridor are equipped with protection against gunfire and shrapnel, the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) has informed. The situation in the Gadrut District after the recent clash is calm, said Rustam Muradov, the commander of the peacemaking contingent.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 11, the first ceasefire violation was recorded; three Nagorno-Karabakh soldiers suffered.

The situation in the vicinity of the villages of Khtsaberd and Khin Takher has returned to normal, Mr Muradov has stated.

Let us add that Azerbaijan has declared the incident to be a forced anti-terrorist operation. It was conducted due to the fact that from November 26 to December 8, in the Gadrut District, four Azerbaijani soldiers were killed and three people suffered from the attacks of the armed units remaining there, the Azerbaijani MoD has stated.
