Three military servicemen wounded in Nagorno-Karabakh

In the evening on December 11, a shootout with Azerbaijani militaries occurred in the Gadrut direction; the health condition of three wounded soldiers of Nagorno-Karabakh is stable, the authorities of the unrecognized republic have informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 10, an agreement came into force to end the hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh that began on September 27. On November 11, the Ministries of Defence (MoDs) of Russia and Turkey agreed to establish a joint centre in Azerbaijan to monitor the fulfilment of the ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh. On December 12, Azerbaijan lifted the martial law in the country.

The shootout of Nagorno-Karabakh militaries with the Azerbaijani counterparts occurred at 8:40 p.m. local time on December 11, the Nagorno-Karabakh's MoD has reported. "The Azerbaijani party made an attempt to attack one of the combat posts in the southern direction. As a result of the shootout, three Nagorno-Karabakh servicemen were wounded," the "Interfax" has reported today.

There is no threat to the lives of the wounded soldiers; an investigation is underway to clarify the circumstances of the incident, the "Sputnik Armenia" has reported today with reference to the Nagorno-Karabakh MoD.
