During the last 24 hours, over 700 refugees returned to Nagorno-Karabakh
On December 7, 778 residents of Nagorno-Karabakh returned from Armenia accompanied by peacemakers, the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) has informed.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that by December 6, over 34,000 refugees had returned to Nagorno-Karabakh from Armenia, accompanied by Russian peacemakers.
The Russian MoD has failed to account all the returnees, since about 30,000 of them left Armenia without peacemakers' accompaniment, Zhirair Mirzoyan, the Karabakh Minister for Territorial Management and Development, said on November 30.
On December 7, 778 people were brought by buses from Yerevan to Stepanakert. The refugees were accompanied by Russian peacemakers, the Russian MoD has informed.
"In total, more than 34,500 refugees have already returned to Nagorno-Karabakh to their places of permanent residence," said a statement posted in the evening on December 7 in the MoD's website.
