Over 100 Russian sappers sent to Nagorno-Karabakh

The experts of the anti-mine centre and special equipment delivered to the Yerevan Airport will be sent to Stepanakert for the demining work, the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 10, the agreement signed by Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia on the end of hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh came into force; and local residents-forced migrants began returning home.

The "Caucasian Knot" has drafted a map to show the territories that will pass over to Azerbaijan after the autumn war. Also, the "Caucasian Knot" has published a deployment map of the Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh.

On November 10, the agreement signed by Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia on the end of hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh came into force.

More than 100 militaries of the International Anti-Mine Centre of the Russian MoD have arrived in to Yerevan, the RIA "Novosti" has reported today citing the MoD.

They arrived in An-124, Il-76 and Tu-154 aircrafts from the Chkalov Airfield near Moscow, together with 13 units of military and special equipment, including the Uran-6 demining robotic complexes, as well as armoured personnel carriers (APCs) and armoured vehicles, as well as service dogs, the Russian MoD has explained in its statement.

They will move along the Yerevan-Goris-Stepanakert route and will be engaged in engineering reconnaissance, demining of terrains, roads and other objects in the areas of Nagorno-Karabakh most affected by shelling, the TASS reports with reference to the Russian MoD.
