Armenian opposition holds a march with demand of Nikol Pashinyan's resignation
In Yerevan, organizers of the protests claim that the actions will not stop until Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his government resign.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the Armenian opposition is dissatisfied with the signed peace agreement with Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan regains the territories of Nagorno-Karabakh captured during the hostilities and gets the so-called "Security Belt", that is, returns the territories of five districts adjacent to Karabakh.
The Armenian opposition held a rally and a march demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his government. The police accumulated reinforced squads near the Matenadaran Manuscript Museum, from where the march started. Before the start of the rally, law enforcers informed organizers and participants of the march about the legal consequences of participation in an unsanctioned rally and demanded to stop the rally, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports from the place.
The demands of the protesters remained unchanged. "We are going to confirm that we are demanding in our intentions, and the government, which is blocking our goals, must resign," the organizers of the rally stated.
According to the police, about 2000 people took part in the protest action.
