Verdict to woman from Grozny for posts in social network approved
The court has upheld the verdict to Medni Yaschurkaeva, a resident of Grozny, sentenced to two years in prison within the case of justifying terrorism.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 24, the Southern District Military Court sentenced Yaschurkaeva to two years in prison, having found her guilty of incitement to terrorism after posting her messages, photos and videos on the Internet.
According to investigators, from January 2018 to February 5, 2019, the 29-year-old Yaschurkaeva posted on the public channel of the messenger, which had 1220 subscribers, certain texts, photos and videos, which contained "calls for terrorism and the justification thereof."
Medni Yaschurkaeva's defence has appealed against the verdict, asserting that it is too severe.
The woman has five minor children.
