Azerbaijan claims 12 perished civilians

12 people perished and 35 others were hospitalized as a result of the shelling of Azerbaijani settlements by Armenian militaries, the Azerbaijani General Prosecutor's Office (GPO) has reported.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 27, warfare began in the Karabakh conflict zone.

Besides, according to the GPO, as a result of the shelling attack from the Armenian side, in Azerbaijan, 66 houses were destroyed, as well as eight civilian objects; many small and large horned livestock were killed, says the GPO's website.

In its turn, the Armenian Ministry of Defence (MoD), announced air strikes on Armenian dwelling settlements. According to the MoD, Azerbaijan used a drone to strike the vicinity of the village of Norakert, the Gegarkunik Region of Armenia.

"Azerbaijan wanted to commit an air strike on the railway passing near Norakert, but missed," Artsrun Ovannisyan, the spokesman of the headquarters of the Armenian MoD wrote in his Facebook page, as translated by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

Mr Ovannisyan has posted two videos from the shelling site, showing wide craters in the field. "This is a crater from an exploded aerial bomb fired by a SU-25 fighter," he commented on one of the videos.
