Billionaires Sarkisov and Nisanov urge their Armenian and Azerbaijani fellow countrymen to stop clashes
Entrepreneurs, Sergey Sarkisov and God Nisanov, called on their fellow countrymen to stop clashes amid the aggravation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict. Sarkisov has promised to compensate for the damage caused to the Azerbaijanis' property in Moscow.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 24, in Moscow there were clashes among natives of Armenia and Azerbaijan. According to law enforcers, 22 participants in mass brawls were detained.
The prerequisites for the clashes of natives of both nations were the reports that trucks with Armenian goods were moved out the "Food City" marketplace, owned by God Nisanov, an entrepreneur of Azerbaijani origin.
"I have many Azerbaijani friends – wonderful people, and I value very much my friendship with them. I am ashamed before them for the vandals who had decided to show their national identity by violence and destruction," the RBC quotes Sarkisov's as appealing.
