Former wife of Russian rapper apologizes for interview about war in Chechnya

TV presenter Aiza Anokhina, a former wife of rapper Guf (Alexei Dolmatov), apologized for an interview in which she shared her memories of the life during the war in Chechnya.

In her interview posted on YouTube, Aiza Anokhina said that it was "very difficult for her to be a Chechen native," since at school she had to ask teachers not to tell other schoolchildren about their nationality in order to avoid bullying.

According to Aiza Anokhina, when she was 10 years old, she experienced horror of bombing during the first Chechen war. The TV presenter also noted that her father was a KGB agent and worked undercover in Chechnya, while trying to dig up dirt on Djokhar Dudaev, the first president of the self-proclaimed Chechen Republic of Ichkeria.

On July 14, Aiza Anokhina apologized on Instagram to residents of Chechnya for the interview. According to the TV presenter, her father has not been working for the Russian secret services for a long time already and is not involved in anyone's killing or persecution in Chechnya.

Earlier, rapper Guf himself has also apologized to residents of the Chechen Republic for his statements regarding Caucasian girls.
