Law enforcers associate murder in Ingushetia with blood feud
A resident of Ingushetia was killed on the "Caucasus" highway, and investigators consider a version of blood-feud-related murder, a source from the law enforcement bodies reported.
The incident has occurred today in the area of the Yandare village. Unidentified people shelled a passenger car from firearms. A driver of the car died at the place from the wounds he got, the "Interfax" reports.
A version of the blood-feud-related murder is being considered as a motive. In 2014, a murder occurred in the Yandare village. Two brothers were wounded in a shootout then, and after the incident, blood feud was declared against the man who was killed today, the "360" TV Channel reports with reference to a source.
The blood feud is a custom that had formed during the clannish social system as a universal means of defending the honour, dignity, and property of a clan. It implies the duty of victim's relatives to take revenge on the killer or his relatives.
The man, who was shot dead on the "Caucasus" highway, was a brother of a man sentenced after the conflict of 2014. The court found a participant of the conflict guilty of the death of his fellow villager, but that fact did not prevent the declaration of blood feud, the "Dosh" reports.
