Grozny residents explain violations of self-isolation regime by quarantine fatigue

Residents of Grozny, who went on walks with their children despite the quarantine measures, explained the violation of the self-isolation regime by fatigue from a many-day stay at homes.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that starting from April 13, residents of Chechnya are forbidden to leave their homes without special permits. Meanwhile, each family is allowed to spend only six hours a week for purchases.

In the afternoon on April 29, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent visited the Leninsky and Zavodskoi Districts of Grozny. There was a slight movement in some yards of apartment buildings: in particular, groups of children and teenagers, without protective masks on their faces, were playing at playgrounds and sports fields, and adults, most of whom also had no masks on their faces, were walking in the yards, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reported.

Maret, a woman from Grozny, explained her walk with the children by her fatigue as a result of the quarantine measures. "It's morally and physically difficult to stay at home all the time, especially for children. The weather is fine, so we went out into the yard to breathe a bit and let the children run around the yard. The police visit the yards several times a day and force everyone back home. But when policemen leave, then people, first of all, children, begin to go out again," Maret told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
