Baiting Vladikavkaz student stopped after flash mob on Facebook

The Vladikavkaz female student, in support of whom a flash mob on the Facebook was organized, said that threats against her for public dancing have stopped.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that a black student of additional university courses and a female student of the Vladikavkaz Lyceum had publicly apologized for the dance, which was treated as indecent by locals. In their turn, the police have launched a check of the girl's complaints about received threats. On January 29, the North-Ossetian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reported that policemen had held prophylactic conversation with the three young men, who had videoed the girl's apologies for the dance.

On January 28, Anna Kabisova, a journalist, and Alena Ramonova, a psychologist, initiated a flash mob with the hashtag #I'm_not_ideal_dancer aiming to support the girl.

The female student of the Vladikavkaz Lyceum, whose name was not disclosed for safety reasons, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent on January 31 that the threats against her had stopped.

"All is over for me ... Yes, I wrote an application [to law enforcement bodies] ... No criminal case was opened on my initiative," she said.
