Resident of Chechnya publicly apologizes for road rage

Chechen law enforcers have rebuked, on air of the "Grozny" TV Channel, Adam Yakhyaev for his reckless driving. Residents of the republic have treated the young driver's public repentance as excessive.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that residents of Chechnya are regularly apologizing, including on the TV air, for their inappropriate behaviour, for their complaints to officials, and for drinking alcohol.

Adam Yakhyaev, a resident of the Mairtup village of the Kurchaloi District, "violated several traffic rules at once," the authors of the TV story have stated.

In the TV report, Yakhyaev repented of his actions. "I made a mistake ... I’m sorry, I apologize to all my compatriots. Not only my friend and I were disgraced, but the whole republic was ashamed," he said.

"In Chechnya, there are those who believe that they will manage to avoid punishment of the law for their violations. No, as practice shows, any attempts to neglect the traffic rules will be stopped," the authors of the TV story said.

Let us remind you that in March, a native of Chechnya, Muslim Djambekov, after a road accident, in which two people died, at the request of Ramzan Kadyrov, apologized twice.

The victim, who had lost his wife and daughter in the accident, Kadyrov promised to help, but the man later said that he received no help.
