Advocate not admitted to Sautieva at Nalchik SIZO
On October 10 and 11, the administration of the Nalchik SIZO (pre-trial prison) did not let the advocate, Fatima Urusova, to visit Zarifa Sautieva, Bilan Dzugaev, Urusova's colleague, has informed. According to his story, complaints are being prepared in this connection.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Zarifa Sautieva was detained on July 12, 2019, and has been kept under arrest in Nalchik since July 15; she is charged with complicity in using violence against law enforcers in Magas. On September 9, a court in Yessentuki extended her custody until December 11, refusing to release her on bail. On October 9, the Stavropol Territorial Court rejected the appeal of Sautieva's advocates to the decision of the Yessentuki court.
Zarifa Sautieva has become the first Ingush woman arrested for political reasons.
The fact that Fatima Urusova was not admitted to Zarifa Sautieva was reported by Bilan Dzugaev, another Zarifa's advocate, in his Telegram channel "Road to Nalchik".
"Yesterday and today, the advocate, Fatima Urusova, tried to visit Zarifa Sautieva. However, the administration of SIZO-1 in Nalchik did not let her in, despite the fact that the law expressly states that the advocate shall be allowed to visit his/her client, if there are respective certificate and warrant. The respective complaints are being prepared," Bilan Dzugaev wrote on October 11.
