Prosecutors refuse to approve Martin Kochesoko's indictment

The case of the Circassian activist, accused of drug storage, has been returned for additional investigation.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 7, in Nalchik, law enforcers detained Martin Kochesoko, the head of the Circassian public organization named "Khabze". He was charged with marijuana possession. The activist himself claims that drugs were planted on him by law enforcers, who forced him to self-incriminate.

The Prosecutor's Office (PO) of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) refused to approve the indictment against Martin Kochesoko and returned the case for further investigation, the "Business FM" informed in the evening on October 10 with reference to Timur Khutov, Martin's advocate.

According to Timur Khutov, the reason for the return of the case was in the fact that investigators failed to give a procedural assessment of the defence witnesses' testimonies, while a number of advocates' motions were rejected without due reason.
