NKR reports downed Azerbaijani drone

An Azerbaijani unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV or drone) has been shot down today during reconnaissance, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) has informed.

According to the MoD, today, at about 10:15 a.m. local time, the air defence units of the NKR's Defence Army have detected the above Azerbaijani UAV model ORBITER-2.

The drone was shot down near the city of Akna, Askeran District of the NKR, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has translated the message of the NKR's MoD.

The MoD's website contains photos of the downed drone with its serial number visible.

As of 5:15 p.m. Moscow time today, the Azerbaijani MoD had not commented on the above NKR's statement.
