Azerbaijan claims 20 shelling attacks in conflict zone

The positions of the Azerbaijani troops in the Karabakh conflict zone were shelled from the territories controlled by the Armenian side, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Azerbaijan reports today.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 24, Azerbaijan reported shelling attacks on three villages located on the border with Armenia. The Azerbaijani side registered 21 cases of ceasefire violations within 24 hours.

"Units of the Armenian armed forces 20 times violated the ceasefire in various directions of the front within 24 hours," the Azerbaijani MoD reports on its official website today.

According to the Azerbaijani MoD, the positions of the Azerbaijani troops were shelled from the direction of the villages treated by Azerbaijan as its occupied territories.

As at 9:50 a.m. Moscow time on today, the Ministries of Defence for Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh have not yet posted on their official websites any comments on the statement released by the Azerbaijani MoD.
