Azerbaijan claims shelling attacks on its village in conflict zone
Over 24 hours, the positions of the Azerbaijani army in the Karabakh conflict zone, including in the border village, were shelled 24 times, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) for Azerbaijan reports today.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the morning on May 6, the Azerbaijani MoD reported 22 shelling attacks in the conflict zone.
The ceasefire regime in the Karabakh conflict was violated 24 times, and the Azerbaijani positions were shelled in the village of Gyzylgadjyly in the Gazakh District, the Azerbaijani MoD reports today on its website. The fire came both from the Armenian side and from the positions "near the occupied villages," reports the Azerbaijani MoD.
As at 8:40 a.m. Moscow time on today, the Ministries of Defence for Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh have not posted on their websites any comments on the statement voiced by the Azerbaijani MoD.
The "Caucasian Knot" has also reported that Armenian soldier Aganik Zoroglyan, who was severely wounded in the Karabakh conflict zone, underwent surgery on May 6. Soldier Argishti Sepkhanyan, wounded on April 30, still stays in severe condition, reports the Ministry of Defence for Armenia.
