Soldier wounded in Armenia dies

A case on the death of a soldier who died after getting a wound in a military unit is being investigated under the article of "bringing to suicide," the Investigating Committee of Armenia reports.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today, the contract soldier of a military unit near Yerevan has been taken to hospital with a wound. Doctors assessed his condition as extremely severe. The investigation into a cause of the wound is underway.

Let us remind you that according to the General Prosecutor's Office of Armenia, in 2018, 38 soldiers of the armed forces of Armenia and the Nagorno-Karabakh Defence Army were killed during their service. The General Prosecutor's Office of Armenia reported that 11 of them were driven to suicide.
